Obed co-founded ACODEV in 2003 and currently sits as the Executive Director. A PHD student (Walden University); He holds a MSci. In Public Health Leadership and a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Community Development. In addition, Obed holds a diploma in Leadership Development for Health from the University of North Carolina (UNC), a diploma Governance for Health from the University of London (SOAS) and a certificate in Management for Healthcare Organizations from the University Los Angeles (UCLA). In 2010, Obed was a Monitoring & Evaluation Fellow for the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
Obed is an international consultant of Human Rights Based Approach to Programming (HRBAP), Leadership Development Program for Health (LDP), Public Private Partnerships (PPP) and Child Rights Education for Professionals. Recently, he developed the “Seven Roles Model for Promoting Child Rights Protection,” a model adopted by UNICEF.
Obed serves on various national and international boards of organizations including: UNASO, Africa Governance for Health Network, Regional Steering Group of CREATE-CREDO PRO-Child Rights Education for Professionals, among others. Obed has served in civil society at different levels and organizations for the last 16 years. In addition to his work with ACODEV, he is currently a part-time lecturer in for graduate programs at Uganda Christian University.
